Create a dynamic, final "reveal" of Election Day 2018 for a campaign video
A friend and choreographer, Andrew Winghart, reached out about creating a large scale, low budget installation for his work on a campaign video for Swing Left.
The installation would be hinted at over the course of the video, with a final shot of dancers exiting the frame and revealing 11/6 (Election Day in 2018).
CHALLENGES
A low budget and tight timeframe
- Designed and explored analog solutions for set design using paint, umbrellas, ping pong balls, and blue duct tape
- Determined and finalized fonts, shots, and location in under 48 hours
- Completed install in one day
- Explored creative, low budget solutions to control the warehouse environment and lighting using unrolled trash bags

THE RESULT
An anamorphic projection as a dynamic final frame of the video.
Initial explorations of paint, umbrellas, and ping pong balls were thoughtfully integrated into the choreography and set design.
